Instructions to Forward your Email from USF account to personal
account
Forward your USF email to your personal email
account E-mails sent to students through the course portal
(myUSF) go directly to the student's official USF e-mail address (either
mail or helios accounts.) Since many students do not regularly check these
accounts, you will need to provide a forwarding address to direct your USF
e-mail to your home accounts (aol, yahoo, etc.) or to the HSC account you
created. To ensure that you are receiving all messages sent by the
instructor, it is imperative that you take the following steps:
- Go to the UNA
main page at: https://una.acomp.usf.edu/
normally with your NetID and password
- On the
left-hand side you will see a list of your "accounts." Click on Net ID
and then select Edit Net ID Account Options from the top menu.
- To select
which account you would like as your official USF account, select an
address from the drop down menu and click OK. (NOTE: If you do NOT have
an HSC account already established, you will only have one selection and
can disregard this step.)
- Click on the
account on the left-hand side (either mail, helios, or HSC) that you
have just chosen in step 4.
- You should
now see your official USF e-mail address listed. To forward mail from
this account to your personal account, please select Edit mail (or
helios, HSC) Account Options from the top menu.
- To set your
USF email account to forward all messages to another email address of
your choice, type the address in the space provided. Click in the button
next to "Forward email to the address below." Then click OK.
- To make sure
the address you typed in is now your forwarding address, select mail (or
helios, HSC) Account Information from the top menu. The address should
be listed.
